Han told the media that he brought his young kid with him when he was buying buns, and was in a rush. He bought only two stuffed buns, the price should be 3 yuan, but he entered the password 147258 by mistake at the place of the “amount”, and transferred the money out to the shop owner.
What surprised a lot of people is that the Han didn’t realize the large missing sum of money until the customer service of Alipay contacted him. He explained that he hadn't previously booked the text message reminder service for Alipay transactions and doesn't check his account often, that’s why he didn’t notice the mistake until customer service phoned him about it.

Luckily the owner of the stuffed bun stand went to the local police and the police were able to help verifying the identity of Han to make sure the money went back to the right person.
Han says he is very grateful that the owner finally found him and returned the money, and he will be more careful in the future to avoid such mistakes.
The police reminds consumers that as mobile payments become more popular, more and more similar payment mistakes may happen, some even take the mistaken payment to the court. So consumers should watch their mobile phone screen twice before pressing the button to pay.
