Towboats break sea ice in Liaodong Bay

Towboats were breaking sea ice as deep as half a meter in northeast China's Liaodong Bay on Sunday. The sea ice had extended over 38 km from the shoreline into the bay, with a total area of over 3,300km², interfering with shipping and the lives of coastal communities.
