Women inmates serving jail time inside the Talavera Bruce prison in Rio de Janeiro traded their uniform with evening gowns and high heels for an annual beauty pageant. The Miss Talavera Bruce contest, which is run by community groups, has been taking place for the past decade to encourage self-esteem, fight isolation and promote integration.
