China's services sector continued steady expansion in the first two months this year, official data showed.
The production index of the services sector registered a 7.3 percent year-on-year growth in the first two months, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The growth rate was on par with that of December last year.
Information transmission, software, information technology, tenancy and business services grew faster than the average level in the service industry.
In February, the sub-index measuring business activity in the industry stood at 53.5, remaining above the boom-bust line of 50.
Meanwhile, the new orders index was 50.5, up 0.3 percentage points compared to the previous month.
