Prince of Monaco Albert II: Xi's visit means a lot to us

Monaco's Prince Albert II, also head of state of the Principality of Monaco, expressed his appreciation regarding Chinese President Xi Jinping's upcoming visit to the country.
"It is not just because this is the first time for a Chinese president to visit Monaco, but the incumbent head of state of one of the world's most powerful countries' first time," he said during an interview with CCTV.
The friendship established over recent years between the two sides has greatly boosted exchanges in multiple areas.
On the trade front, two-way trade volume has expanded 11 times in 20 years. 
In addition to that, fruitful results have been accomplished in cultural and environmental fields,  Prince Albert II said.
A sports enthusiast himself, the prince also stressed the importance of exercising.
"I think President Xi knows that as well. He not only supports the 2022 Winter Olympics to take place in Beijing, but also hopes all Chinese people can take part in exercises," he said.
He vows to strengthen cooperation with China in the years to come.
