Argentine football legend Diego Armando Maradona lamented the defeat of Uruguay in the quarterfinal of the ongoing World Cup in Russia 2018. The former captain of Argentina said the Uruguayans were outclassed by France because of the absence of their main attacker, Edinson Cavani due to injury and the side “missed Cavani a lot.”
However, during his participation in the programme, “By the hand of the Ten,” Maradona praised the French team and appreciated the way they had a better ball possession.
“France seems to have learned to keep the ball and played in a better way,” the soccer legend mentioned. He also acknowledged that the French team has a solid defense and a midfielder that can play very well. He was also all praise for Mbappé and said “nobody has got the speed like Mbappé in this World Cup.”
