World's tallest power transmission towers go through final checks

The world's tallest power transmission towers were under final checks on Sunday before they go into trial run on January 7 on the Zhoushan Islands, which are home to the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ). The 500-kilovolt power transmission and transformation project for the Zhejiang pilot FTZ has set 14 world records, aside claiming the world's first cross-linked polyethylene submarine cables.
