In the latest stop of the IAAF Diamond League in Rome, China's Lyu Huihui unleashed a throw of 66.47m in the women's javelin and won the second Diamond League title this season.
Lyu won her first title in Shanghai in May, and was ranked third after four rounds in Rome. Her throw of 66.47m on her fifth attempt moved the 29-year-old into first place and guaranteed her victory.
That was followed by an effort of 65.75 in the final round, the only other mark of the evening beyond 65m. The two-time world medalist overtook Turkey's Eda Tugsusz who took the lead in the fourth round but finished second.
