Forget knitting and cake-baking, 84-year-old Florence Meiler is a competitive pole vaulter. She's practicing for the World Masters Athletics Championships Indoor, where she'll be competing in a range of disciplines including the long jump, the 60-meter hurdles and the 800-meter run, as well as the five-events-in-a-day pentathlon. She'll be the only one in her age group for the sport where she reigns supreme.
