Chinese President Xi Jinping has just arrived in Manila for his state visit to the Philippines. This is the first state visit by a Chinese head of state to the southeast Asian nation in 13 years. Philippine newspapers have published a signed article by President Xi in which he stresses China's commitment to win-win cooperation and peaceful development with the Philippines. This is the last leg of Xi's Asia-Pacific tour that has already taken him to Papua New Guinea and Brunei.
