At least two people were killed on Friday, May 3, as Cyclone Fani slammed into eastern India, bringing heavy rain and wind gusts up to 200 kilometers per hour. India's National Disaster Response Force says around 1.2 million people have evacuated low-lying areas of Odisha and moved to nearly 4,000 shelters.
