Many parts of central and southern China have been hit with snow and ice storms, causing severe traffic disruptions during the New Year holiday. Central China's Hunan Province; Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan provinces in the southwest and Jiangxi Province in the east have all been affected in varying degrees.
