China is expanding the application of its BeiDou satellite navigation system to all transportation fields. The domestically developed BeiDou satellite navigation system (BDS) is now helping to ensure the safety of travelers using all types of transport during this year's Spring Festival travel rush, which will see an estimated 2.9 billion trips taken.
