In China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) is a general air of festivity and extravagance as the 18th Macao City Fringe Festival is well underway with dozens of artistic programs and creative activities.
The event, which kicked off on Friday, was organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macao SAR government. Under the theme of "Extra, Ordinary," it seeks to turn arts into a daily routine through different means of expression, enriching the audience’s artistic experience.
Local artists and residents are able to find urban arts in their daily lives through art-related festivities while foreign creators and tourists got opportunities to deeply touch the cultural pulse of the city.

Featuring an outdoor orchestra, street art, and multi arts-combined performances, the festival also features 10 outreach activities, including workshops, talks, art critique, and sharing sessions.
It has also invited curators of performing arts events from all over the world to share experiences on local festivals and the cultural environment in their hometowns.
The festival will continue until January 27.
