Battle of the Nations, the World Championship of Historical Medieval Battle, is set to kick off today in Serbia. The unusual event has drawn people from all over the world every year since 2009. The hits are real, and the weapons authentic. The armor is made to withstand heavy blows. Everything about the event, including the venue, is required to be historically authentic. This year it takes place at a fortress along the Danube River.
