Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Wang Kejian on Tuesday visited Hassan Kassir High School in Beirut and donated school bags and stationary to Amal educational institutions at the beginning of the academic year.
"Our small donation today is an expression of our appreciation for Amal educational institutions and the educational services it provides to the Lebanese," said Wang.
The ambassador added that China and Lebanon have had friendly relations since a long time ago, and the two countries have continuously supported each other.

Wang also noted that the Chinese embassy has offered in the past years a lot of help to Lebanese students through Lebanon's Ministry of Education and High Education.
RACE (the Reach all Children with Education campaign) is a collaborative effort between the Lebanese Ministry of Education and the United Nations. According to UNICEF, around 86,000 Syrian refugee students in Lebanon benefited from the program upon receiving China-funded educational supplies in 2017.

Meanwhile, Reda Saade, head of the board of directors of Amal educational institutions, said that he appreciates the Chinese ambassador's visit while praising the great assistance of the Chinese embassy.
"This is not the first time that China helps needy students and orphans," he said, adding that "the help reflects good ties and respects prevailing between Lebanon and China."
