US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that talks with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) were “going well” as US officials seek to reach an agreement with Pyongyang over a denuclearization plan following last month’s summit between Trump and the DPRK's leader Kim Jong Un.
In a Twitter post, Trump said "many good conversations with North Korea (DPRK) - it is going well!” adding that the DPRK has conducted “no Rocket Launches or Nuclear Testing in 8 months.”

"All of Asia is thrilled. Only the Opposition Party, which includes the Fake News, is complaining. If not for me, we would now be at War with North Korea (DPRK)!"
Trump's comments came as his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was to head back to the DPRK on Thursday to flesh out the bare bones nuclear agreement signed by the two leaders during their summit meeting in Singapore last month.
A US delegation met over the weekend with the DPRK's counterparts at the border between the DPRK and the ROK to discuss the next steps to implement the June 12 summit’s declaration, according to the US State Department.
