China defeat China's Hong Kong 7-0 in 2018 Asian Games women's football

China's women's football team crushed China's Hong Kong 7-0 in a Group B qualification match held in the Jakabaring Sports Center stadium on Friday evening.
China's Hong Kong was outclassed by their opponents who are seeded 17th in the FIFA women's world rankings.
"The players have played like how they've been practicing. Hopefully they will improve match by match in this tournament," China's women's football team coach Jia Xiuquan told a press conference on the sidelines of the match.
China scored four goals in the first half. Wang Shuang, who now plays for France's Paris St. Germain, was excellent and opened the scoring. Two goals were scored by forwards Wang Shanshan and Li Ying in 18th and 27th minutes.

Li Jiayue added another goal five minutes before the referee blew the whistle ending the first half of the match.
China made the score 5-0 after an own goal in 47th minute. Two more goals were made in the 51st and 71st minutes respectively by Gu Yasha.
In another Group B match, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) thrashed Tajikistan 16-0. The 2014 Asian Games champion dominated the match held in Palembang's Bumi Srwijaya stadium.
