Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne is expected to visit China from Wednesday to Friday at the invitation of Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Hua Chunying, spokesperson for Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at a regular news briefing on Monday.
"Wang met with Payne in September at the invitation of Payne, during which the two sides exchanged in-depth views on Sino-Australia relations and issues of common concern, reaching important consensuses," said Hua.
"China is willing to make joint efforts with Australia to expand exchanges and cooperation in all areas on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit," Hua added.
