An unidentified flying object emitting a white light appeared in the night sky over Beijing on Thursday. Similar sightings were reported in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Shanxi Province. But the phenomenon has nothing to do with aliens. One expert said it resulted from exhaust gas released by a man-made aircraft flying at an altitude high enough to reflect sunbeams.
