China's Dang Yifei Tuesday scripted an emphatic win over South Korean Park Junghwan to help China win the Nongshim Cup World Go Tournament for the seventh time.
Only two days ago, Park announced that he would move to China to start playing in the A-level competition for Chengdu where Dang also plays. On Tuesday, however, it was the South Korean's future teammate who got the upper hand and went on to win in the final by one and a half points, the biggest ever margin.

The Nongshim Cup is a team event, featuring the three major Go-playing countries – China, Japan and South Korea, and is sponsored by Nongshim, a South Korean food company producing instant noodles.
Each of the three countries starts with five players and two countries are randomly selected to start the first game. The winner continues playing a player from the third country. The winner of each subsequent game stays in to play the next opponent from a different country. In the end, the team with players left standing is the winner of the tournament. These games are played over three stages in different cities.
The tournament was first held in 1999, replacing the Jinro Cup, and it was South Korea who won the inaugural edition.
Although South Korean players have been a dominant force since the tournament's inception, China has come a long way since struggling in the early years.
In 2008, Chinese player Chang Hao created history when he triumphed over South Korean 9-dan Park Yeong-hun in the final of the 9th Nongshim Cup in Shanghai and thus, helped China claim its first trophy in the competition's 16-year history.
