The traffic police in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Saturday braved the drifting snow and raging gale force winds in a relay race to help transfer a patient in critical conditions. The patient, with a lymph tumor, had a high fever and needed to be sent to a hospital in Urumqi City 500 kilometers away.
