The Beijing New Airport's two-story departure terminal is the first in the world and was today connected to China's widest airport bridge.
This innovative design will make travel much more efficient for passengers and greatly shorten the construction period. The ongoing development of the Beijing New Airport Terminal will be completed by the end of this year.
The Beijing New Airport is made up of 1.6 million cubic meters of concrete, and 52,000 metric tons of steel covering a total 47 square kilometers, including runways.
Set to open in late 2019, with eight runways serving 100 million passengers annually, the Beijing New Airport will become the world's largest.
