Black-and-white ruffed lemur triplets officially unveiled at Guangzhou's Chimelong Safari Park

The lemur variegatus, also known as the black-and-white ruffed lemur, was put into the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Red List of Threatened Species in 2012, making lemurs one of the most endangered groups of mammals.

But scientists at Chimelong Safari Park in Guangzhou successfully bred triplets in 2018.

Since then, each of the triplets grew from just one gram at its birth to 2.4 kilograms today.
