Mountain turns white after first snowfall in northern China

The southern part of North China's Shanxi Province has embraced its first snowfall this winter. An aerial view showed the Zhongtiao Mountain in Yuanqu County in Shanxi was covered in snow.
The area has turned into a tranquil white world. Various species of trees covered in snow have created varieties of shadows, giving the mountain the look of a traditional Chinese painting.
The Zhongtiao Mountain is located between the Taihang Mountain and Huashan Mountain. It has the most trees in the province with a forest area of 247 million square meters, including oak, birch, aspen and pine. Some rare wild animals have been spotted in the forest, including macaques and leopards.
