The China Marine Economy Expo opened in the southern port city of Zhanjiang on Friday, which would act as a business platform for building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and promoting cooperation with other countries. China's latest achievements in marine equipment manufacturing, marine energy and biomedicine are being displayed at the expo. A large drill on maritime pollution prevention and search and rescue was also conducted.
