A document was jointly released by five government departments of China on Tuesday, which provides specific instructions for people to better protect the eco-environment in their daily lives.
Named the Code of Conduct for Environmental Protection (Trial), the document was unveiled in an event in Changsha, the capital city of central China's Hunan Province, marking the World Environment Day.
The code of conduct covers various areas including energy saving, low-carbon transportation, and garbage sorting.
Some specific requirements are stated in the document, such as setting the air conditioner at 26 degrees Celsius or higher in summer and at 20 degrees Celsius or lower in winter, which is easy for people to follow.
