China's Zheng Saisai won her fourth title at the WTA Kunming Open with a 6-4, 6-1 demolition of compatriot Zhang Shuai on Sunday.
It was the 25-year-old Zheng's first tournament win of the year.
Zhang, who won the previous meeting with Zheng five years ago, failed to find her rhythm after three thrilling earlier matches and made several unforced errors.
Zheng, the eventual winner, made the decisive break in the ninth game of the first set and broke twice in the first three games of the second to seal the victory.
"I didn't think much about my opponent, I just focused on my tactics," Zheng said afterward. "The court is fast and I have to concentrate on my own technique and tactics."
She was a losing finalist last year, having won previously in 2014, 2015 and 2017.
"I'm in good mood now and gaining confidence," said Zheng, who is preparing for another clay court tournament in Madrid from May 4 to 11.
