The World Wetlands Day falls on February 2. China is ranked fourth in the world in wetland surfaces and the total surface of its wetlands accounts for 10 percent of the world's total. It enjoys 57 wetlands of international importance for now, including the Bird Island and Dongting Lake, to name only a few.
