China's Foreign Minister is now in Gabon on his African tour - his first trip of the New Year.This weekend, Wang Yi visited Rwanda and Angola. He'll next head to Sao Tome and Principe. Wang introduced the idea of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. He also discussed jointly pursuing the Belt and Road Initiative with African countries and upgrading the China-Africa partnership.

During a press conference with his Angolan counterpart, Wang denied the claim that China's financing has increased the debt of African countries. He said China would never impose its own views on others when offering aid and working with Africa.
