National Short Track Speed Skating Trials: Chen Dequan and Qu Chunyu qualify for Pyeongchang

We turn to winter sports here in China where the national short track speed skating competition ended yesterday. The event also serves as the country's final qualifier for the 2018 Winter Olympics. The skater with the highest score from five different events will earn their tickets to Pyeongchang.
In the women's 1000 meter final, Qu Chunyu finishes first. And thanks to her performances in the previous two days, she tops her category which means she will be representing China in Pyeongchang.
Chen Dequan winds up fourth in the men's 500 meter final, but due to his outstanding result in the 3000, he still earns a spot in this year's Winter Olympics. 20 Chinese athletes will compete in all eight short track events in Pyeongchang.
