Aerospace company Rocket Lab has made its first successful rocket launch from its New Zealand launch site. The launch also marks the first successful rocket launch from New Zealand.
On Sunday, the rocket, named "Still Testing" took off from Mahia on New Zealand's North Island and put three satellites into orbit. Rocket Lab launched its first rocket last May but it failed to reach orbit. With a cost of 4 point 9 million US dollars per flight, Rocket Lab says they aim to provide fast and affordable deployment of small satellites to low earth orbit.
