Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson spoke on the phone regarding the situation on the Korean Peninsula on Sunday, Xinhua News Agency reported.
They also discussed the implementation of agreements reached by the two countries' presidents during their first meeting in the US state of Florida earlier this month.
