Malaysia General Election: Opposition announces candidate for prime minister

Malaysia's opposition coalition Pact of Hope has made a key election announcement. The former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad will be named interim prime minister, should the coalition win in the upcoming general election. Mahathir is chairman of the coalition, and led the country for 22 years until 2003. The announcement was made during the coalition's annual convention, on Sunday.
