The beginning of a new year is also special for China. It is time to start a new era. I think the world is at a crossroads. The world is experiencing crisis and revolution. Some international organizations are becoming more fragile, and the international balance has been broken. I think China and Europe, especially France, have a role to play. During this visit, I want to discuss multiple issues with Chinese President Xi Jinping. I will be friendly and sincere because I want to build a new relationship with China and I hope together we can define a vision for our bilateral relations."
