People joked that the tigers ate too much during the Spring Festival holiday, a time for gluttony among humans.

But unlike people with weak willpower, it is in fact natural for these animals to eat more in order to adapt to the extreme cold during the winter in Harbin, where temperatures can be as low as minus 30 degrees Celsius.

Normally, these big felines will return to their normal shapes during summer.
The Siberian Tiger Park is the largest nature reserve for wild Siberian tigers in the world. It has stabilized the population of Siberian tigers due to intensive conservation efforts. More than 90 tigers were born there in 2016 alone, according to park authorities.
