[]
In conjunction with the special day, CGTN went to the streets of Beijing to find out how citizens view China in this day and age.

"I feel my country is always in my heart, and she's always worried about and thinking of me no matter what happens."

"It means I love my country, my people and my work, and there is always a dream about China."

"It feels like China is our home, we feel safety and security to have her standing by our side, and we are proud of being Chinese."

"The national pride makes me want to be a better me and contribute for the stability of our society by creating a harmonious family."

"No matter where we are, our hearts are always thinking of our motherland."

Q2: How do you express your national pride?

"I personally like watching traditional Chinese movies, and sometimes visit Chinese museums to learn more about China's history and development process."

"I prefer to trust my country, and I believe she will go through all the problems and frustrations. We should make even a small contribution for our society and our acts will be contagious to more people and groups."

"When we travel abroad, we need to pay attention to our words and behavior which represent our country."

"Like now I really put focus on cultivating my child's daily behavior, for example don't litter and pay attention to etiquette in public."

"Take my personal life for example, I'm already 30 years old, and now I should take responsibility for my family and society."

Q3: When do you have the strongest feeling of national pride?

"I feel really excited and inspired every time I see our red national flag rising and the big National Day parade."

"I'm deeply touched every time I see our country evacuating Chinese people overseas and bringing them home, which makes me feel largely supported and secure."

"When I look at the fast development of our country in recent years, more open to globalization, like the Belt and Road, to exchanges with more people from different countries."

Q4: What will you do on October 1st?

"I want to take my kid to Tian'anmen Square and see the flag raising in the morning."

"Because I'm a medical worker, so I will stick to my work on October 1st to help more lives."

"Keep watching the documentary named The reform will be carried out to the end, which tells different aspects of Chinese stories."

"I will take my family to visit more traditional places like the Bird's Nest and water cube."

Q5: What words do you have for China?

"I'm so proud of you, China."

"Hope my country develops to be more prosperous."

"I hope all of us will be full of happiness."

"I love you China, happy birthday."
