The death toll in Pakistan's tanker fire has climbed to 162, hospital officials told Xinhua News Agency on Wednesday.
The death toll rose as four injured people including the driver of the oil tanker and two children died at different hospitals in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province, according to the director of Emergency at the Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur.
Over 100 people including women and children were injured after a blaze engulfed crowds who were gathering to collect leaking fuel from an oil tanker that had overturned on the national highway.
The official said the death toll might further rise as 18 out of 107 injured are in critical condition, Xinhua reported.
