A central report meeting has been held in Pyongyang to mark the 85th anniversary of the establishment of the Korean People's Army. The Minister of the People's Armed Forces, General Pak Yong Sik, addressed the meeting. He reaffirmed the resolve to respond to any provocative actions.
He said the DPRK is fully prepared to launch nuclear attacks any time.
The DPRK has a tradition of showcasing its military capabilities on significant dates. Monday's meeting comes amid speculation that the DPRK might conduct another nuclear test or launch an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time, despite calls from China for restraint from all sides.
