Liverpool is "in a good position" to earn a top four spot in the English Premier League and secure their place in next season's UEFA Champions League, goalkeeper Simon Mignolet told CGTN in an exclusive interview.
The Reds are currently third in the table with 69 points, behind Chelsea and Tottenham, but they have one game in hand with just three matches left. And with Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal hot on their heels, Liverpool still has a long way to go, the Belgian international warned.
“Now it is about getting results, and performances together as a team. That is what we are doing at the moment and that is what we have to keep doing."
"We are in a good position. But that does not mean that it is done and dusted. We still have to make sure we are in the Champions League because that is where Liverpool wants to be and where it has always been: at the top of England, and at the same fighting for cups in Europe,” he urged.

The 29-year-old joined Liverpool from Sunderland in June 2013 but has yet to secure any trophies with the Anfield team, despite making it to the League Cup and UEFA Europa League finals last season.
"Last year, we went to two finals obviously. This year we did not manage to play in Europe," noted Mignolet.
"But we are still fighting for the Champions League spot and hopefully we can get to that and next year can be a really exciting year for us."
For now, however, the team was concentrating on the job at hand. "I don’t want to look too far ahead. We still have a job to do. And that is what we are thinking about at the moment.”
