Construction of well-facilitated farmland changes China's villages
[]
China is urbanizing at a speed and on a scale never seen before in human history. Huge numbers of farmers have abandoned their farms in rural areas and gone to cities in recent years, leaving land abandoned.
But things have started to change since the Chinese government implemented the construction of well-facilitated farmlands.
Xinben village, a village in central China’s Hunan Province, is in the process of great change. Since 2015, more than 100 hectares of land has been transformed into well-facilitated farmland, attracting dozens of big and industrialized farms. Large scale growers rent the land from farmers, who not only receive rental income, but also have the chance to work in the industrialized farms.
