We are back with news regarding the DPRK's preparation for next month's Winter Olympics. A delegation travelled to South Korea ahead of the event for inspection work, headed by Hyon Song Wol, part of the DPRK girl band "Moranbong". They crossed the border to inspect facilities for a DPRK art troupe which will be performing at next month's Olympiad, and have now concluded their two day visit. This is expected to be the first of several trips ahead of the Games.
Last week, the DPRK said they would send a 140-member art troupe to perform during next month's Games. They would perform once in Seoul, and another time in Gangneung to celebrate the big event. The seven-member team was inspecting venues in both cities to coordinate the concert. The Samjiyon art troupe, which comprises orchestra members, singers and dancers, is part of the DPRK's Olympic delegation that also includes athletes, officials, journalists and a taekwondo demonstration team.
