From an economic point of view, China should not worry about the cost of trade frictions with other countries, spokesman for China’s Ministry of Commerce Shen Danyang told CGTN in an exclusive interview.
Investigations relating to trade remedy measures against China involved goods worth 14.6 billion US dollars in 2016, Shen noted. The figure could seem high, however it accounts for just 0.6 percent of the 2.1 trillion US dollars in exports the country has registered the same year.

Shen said trade disputes could be solved under the framework of WTO.
“We have won many cases from WTO, so we will also use this as a main method in the future,” he said. “But at the same time, we also have other measures, and will safeguard our industries.”
Stay tuned to CGTN as more excerpts from the exclusive interview will be soon posted.
