French President Emmanuel Macron will start a three-day state visit to China on Monday.
He'll be the first European leader to do so since China's 19th CPC National Congress in October. French officials say Macron seeks a "strategic partnership" with Beijing on anti-terrorism and climate change. He will travel with a delegation of over 100 CEOs of French companies, and hopes to rebalance trade ties with China. He will head to Beijing later Monday and have talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday.
