Let's take a look now at the economic data to be released this week. On Tuesday, The IHS Markit will publish the November PMI data for the manufacturing sectors in the euro area, France, Germany and the UK. On Wednesday, the US Federal Reserve's Open Market Committee will release the minutes of its December policy meeting. The Fed raised key interest rates last month, the third hike this year. On Thursday, a private PMI survey conducted by Caixin and Markit will be published for China's services sector. Lastly, the US labour department will release its monthly nonfarm payroll for December on Friday. A private nonfarm payroll report has already suggested a decrease in hiring in December in comparison with November.
