Australian Open: Svitolina knocks out Kostyuk 6-2, 6-2

We open serve with tennis and action from the Australian Open. Fourth seed Elina Svitolina facing, 15-year-old Marta Kostyuk, the youngest player to reach the third round of a grand slam in more than 20 years. Some are calling her the future of tennis, and her future will have to wait, as her dream was brought to a shuddering halt by her fellow Ukrainian.
The teen starts well, and is serving to get to 3-3 in the frame, but hits into the net. The 23-year-old Svitolina goes on to win the next three games to take the set 6-2.
Second set was pretty similar as the youngster serves up her ninth double fault on match point, as the in-form world number four wins in straight sets in 59 minutes and faces Czech qualifier Denisa Allertova next.
Looking ahead to today's matches, second seed Caroline Wozniacki plays Kiki Bertens. French Open winner, and 7th seed Jelena Ostapenko meets Anett Kontaveit, and Kaia Kanepi will face Carla Suarez Navarro.
On the men's side, world number one and 16-time major winner Rafael Nadal plays Damir Dzumhur. 6th seed Marin Cilic faces Ryan Harrison, and the marquee match-up sees France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga play local favourite and 17th seed Nick Kyrgios.
