Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with visiting US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in Beijing on Sunday, saying he is looking forward to developing the China-US relationship in the near future. 

During their 20-minute meeting, the two sides exchanged views on multilateral and bilateral issues. 

This is Tillerson's first visit to China since he assumed office last month. Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi and Foreign Minister Wang Yi held separate meetings with Tillerson on Saturday.
