Israeli security forces have raided the home of Omar Alabed, the Palestinian attacker who stabbed and killed three Israelis in a Jewish settlement in the West Bank.

Alabed's brother was also arrested during Saturday's bust in Khobar village. Alabed's victims were among those killed in what many describe as the bloodiest wave of Israeli-Palestinian violence in years.

Alabed's attack came hours after three Palestinians were killed in violence prompted by Israel's new security measures at Jerusalem's holiest site for both Jews and Muslims. In response to the security measures, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has suspended all official contact with Israel until it removes metal detectors at the site, where Muslims pray at al-Aqsa mosque.
