South Korean prosecutors said on Wednesday that they are planning to ask for an extension of the arrest period for ousted President Park Geun-hye.
Park has been held at a detention center outside Seoul since March 31, after a court issued an arrest warrant for her. Meanwhile, a prosecution official said on Wednesday that Park’s close confidante, Choi Soon-sil, will be transferred to a different detention center to ensure they don't come into contact with one another.
