Japan False Alarm: Broadcaster apologizes for false DPRK missile alert

The Japanese national broadcaster NHK issued an on-air apology on Tuesday after flashing an alert incorrectly claiming that the DPRK had launched a missile.
The message was published by the NHK website and app at 6:55 pm local time and warned people to take cover. But after just five minutes, NHK admitted the alert was sent in error. It comes just days after a false cellphone alert warning of an incoming ballistic missile terrified residents in Hawaii.
